Once you have chosen a piece of artwork, it is time to think about framing. At Art Emporium, we design the framing to enhance the artwork. If you have a color scheme, the artwork could match these colors. If you would like the frame to match the woodwork in your home or office, feel free to bring a sample with you. If you are thinking about matching a mat color with a fabric color, again, feel free to bring a sample. If the artwork is a print, poster, needlework or original work of art on paper, we begin designing by choosing matboard colors. We use preservation quality matboards, which means we use a matboard either made from wood pulp or cotton that is acid free and approved by the Library of Congress for preservation framing. These matboards will protect your artwork and resist fading.

Next, we choose a frame. We have a large selection of wood and metal samples to fit any decor. Modern and heritage. Once we have a frame picked out, we will help you choose a glass. You may choose from regular clear glass, reflective control (non glare) glass, conservation clear glass or conservation reflective control glass. The conservation glass has a film to protect the artwork from harmful UV rays. It is used mostly on limited editions and original artwork.
